Island Hopping Recommendations
If you're travelling all the way to Ios you might want to turn your trip into an island hopping adventure. You can easily spend 7 - 14 days enjoying the Cyclades.

June will be "mid season" in Greece (high season starts July). Ferries do not travel all routes on all days so play around with the ferry schedule and make sure your trip is doable before you book accommodation.

Pack light (or hire a taxi...) in Santorini
Santorini: can be expensive and a little touristy, but the views from Oia and Fira at sunset are worth a visit! We recommend the walk between Oia and Fira just before / during sunset. Kamari beach is a black sand beach with great swimming and cafes, and the Kamari open air cinema is a must visit! Santorini is a great first or last stop on an island hopping adventure, with direct flights to the UK and connections via Athens to Canada.

Folegandros: a short hop from Ios, we LOVE Folegandros. The island is nearly uninhabited, town is postcard worthy, accommodation is great and affordable. We rented a Jimny and spent a couple of days visiting the island's tiny private beaches! Good diving also available. At sunset, walk up to the Church of Panagia. We had an amazing meal at Belegra. 2-3 night stay recommended.

Sifnos: a cute island that is close to Ios and Folegandros but a little bit different. Bigger and more populated, Sifnos has some nice beaches and is known as a foodie destination. We liked Passione Italian and Loggia Wine Bar. Rental vehicles book up fast in the port. 2-3 night stay recommended.

Mykonos: if you are up for a party, head to Myknonos. We had a great time here but it's expensive and we prefer the quieter/ less touristy islands. Direct flights to UK and connections via Athens to Canada.

Paros, Naxos, Milos: we haven't been but these are next on our list!!
